This was our second year going to this neighborhood park to watch a free Shakespeare performance by Midsommer Flight, shaded by beautiful big trees. The park is large enough to host a play in one corner while a children’s game takes place in the opposite corner. There is free street parking.

Came on a day after it rained and we could barely get to the playground due to large puddles of water all around the barrier and entrance into the playground. We had to find a spot shallow enough to jump over. Then once on the wood chips we still had to watch out for puddles of water, especially under every single swing there were large pools of muddy water. There should definitely be better drainage for this or more wood chips added, but we now know to avoid if it has recently rained. Besides that the playground has nice equipment, theres a water play area great for hot days. And there’s lots of shade and benches. There’s also a food stand that’s always on the corner by Drummond that has elotes and frozen treats. Overall it’s a great park with friendly people.
