Exhibit Dog Park, located at Superior & N Wells St in Chicago, Illinois, is a convenient urban dog run offering a dedicated off-leash area for city pups. The fenced park features artificial grass or wood chips, a double-gated entry for safety, waste bag dispensers, trash bins, benches (with some needing repair), and shade from nearby trees and buildings. The park is open to the public, providing a welcome spot for dogs to stretch their legs and socialize just steps from Chicago’s River North neighborhood.
This dog park stands out as a practical stop for quick dog walks or off-leash play, especially for those living in the downtown area. While it is smaller and more basic than some larger parks in Chicago, it’s appreciated for its shaded location, friendly community, and convenience. Amenities include a water fountain for dogs, agility obstacles, and disposal bags to encourage cleanliness. However, visitors note upkeep can vary and the location can be noisy due to proximity to the highway.
This little dog park became a regular spot to visit. Nearly ALL dog owners are very considerate of each other and very friendly. There are waste bags available if you need one. There is a double gate for dog security so you can feel good about setting them of the leash inside the park. It is all artificial grass. There are benches and a couple of obstacles for the dogs. The park gets cleaned daily.
I stopped by this dog park on the morning of July 9, 2025 for about an hour. It’s a small rectangular and fenced in patch. Nothing to write home about. As you might expect, it smells strongly of urine. I saw 4 dog owners come in for about 5 min mainly to get their dogs to do their business before quickly leaving. Some of the pictures shown here are definitely not from this city dog park. I guess this park is not atypical of an urban environment and maybe it’s different after 5 pm – being more social as it is next to a cafe…but again, nothing special.
Nice dog park. Could have been a little cleaner, but a good spot in a good location. It wasn’t busy when I went, just one other dog. It was shaded by the surrounding buildings, which would be good for a warm day.
Exhibit Dog Park is a wonderful “Dog Run”, open to the public, very roomy for any dog to run around and play ball/fetch or climb a doggy slide or jump through hoops. They also provide poop bags & disposal bins, which allows the place to stay clean. Great Dog Run for the neighborhood.
A hidden gem of a dog run nestled in the city. I’d describe it more as a dog run than a park, as it’s fairly small. It’s a great spot though for a dog to get some off leash running around in this neighborhood.
