Columbus Park has always been Columbus Park. It’s so big and tons of activities, golf course , I’ve played frisbee golf ⛳ their, we set up our own basket. This time I was the westside back to school picnic & parade. It was a lot of companies selling & giving things away.. ie… food, water, pop, t shirt. It was very cool. The kids had a smile 😁 in their face that’s priceless. I enjoyed the kids enjoying themselves and the parade was cool to I didn’t stay long, It was July in Chicago=100° plus. I always have a good time when I go to this park. .

Could be a nice park except for the lack of maintenance. The paved path around the park is in such disrepair it needs to be replaced at this point. Too much litter as well, wish the residents took more pride or just some pride in their neighborhood.

I used to absolutely LOVE this park! I do go daily to birdwatch. You’d be amazed at the variety of wildlife living and visiting this park. Over the years, the upkeep has become less and this year the homeless started living in tents along the Austin side of the park. Crime and unruly children have taken over the playgrounds on both the Jackson and Central Street sides of the park. There is a beautiful golf course and newly renovated tennis court that keeps many residents happy! I’ve just experienced too many people hanging out there drinking and playing loud music, people purposely having their dogs chase the geese and ducks along with trash everywhere including the lagoon. There have been numerous shootings on the Central side and one this July 4th on the Central side. This park is beautiful, but I do feel the city of Chicago has not been taking care of the property as well as it should.

Columbus Park is a big and beautiful city park. it’s really a great place for people to enjoy walking, hiking, biking, …etc. I see people having fun playing sports on the basketball, soccer and tennis courts. This park has a great Fieldhouse and pool for children to enjoy. The Community Golf course is something special. I recommend this great park because it has a lot to offer for the public.
