Great park, an oasis in the middle of an urban area. DOG OWNERS- this is NOT a dog park and your dog must be on a leash at all times – it’s the law! Saw an almost bite the other day and poor young one was traumatized!!
Beautiful, large park. It is very clean, and very spacious. This park is very convenient as it is a short walk from the Friendship Heights metro station, and the center of Chevy Chase/Friendship Heights area. The variety of trees, and flowers allows visitors to see various kinds of critters. During the summer of 2021 there were plenty of the Brood X cicadas here.
This shady, grassy park is small but very well laid out. Lots of trees, benches, some small tables and chairs and green space. Good place for a picnic or to read a book. There is also a small toddler play area.
