North Chevy Chase Local Park is a wooded and shaded community hub located at 4105 Jones Bridge Rd in Chevy Chase, Maryland. Known for its relaxed, pet-friendly atmosphere and variety of spaces, the park offers a playground alongside two baseball diamonds and open areas that welcome families, kids, and dog owners alike. While dogs are welcome to visit, be sure to follow leash requirements and check for any posted restrictions on off-leash running. The park’s shaded setting makes it enjoyable for a stroll or for short play sessions with your dog.
This Chevy Chase park stands out for its multiple recreational sections, including a well-loved playground and sports fields, making it a popular weekend destination. There’s plenty of parking available, though it can get busy during afternoon daycare hours and local sports practices. The park is known for its natural wooded beauty, though visitors should note occasional cleanliness and mosquito concerns. Restrooms are available but can be less than ideal during peak times, so plan accordingly when visiting with your furry friend.
Public restrooms were way too dirty and there were so many mosquitoes. We couldn’t stay there for long. It was ashame because the playground itself was very nice.
Clean park with multiple sections. Came on a weekend and there were a lot of people, but it didn’t seem busy, due to the multiple areas. Kids loved it!
My son practices baseball here every week and the fields are great there’s two pretty serious flaws there is a daycare at this location so it’s always pretty busy in the afternoons with very limited parking and there are no public restrooms nor porta potties and that can be a big issue as I’m sure everyone knows
There is plenty of parking and a nice playground next to the community center but very shaded. The sun hadn’t set yet when we left. But the parking lot was already dark. They have two baseball diamonds there. One is used by a little league and very nice. The other next to a soccer field was untouched.
This park is in the middle of the woods, unclean, full of ants and bugs. Looks very old..
I don’t feel safe with my kids here.
