It has a good parking situation. What fields are uneven and rough.
Great. Even raining like a dog it didn’t flood. Wasn’t too wet. Soccer fields were ok, but you couldn’t see the lines and there were grass clippings everywhere, so the rain and grass clippings made everything slippery and ucky.
It’s a great place to take a stroll for all of us retired people. You can walk completely around the entire soccer and baseball field complex and there is a walkway across the street at the volleyball courts.
Great fields. While there is ample parking, the layout makes it difficult to get in and out of parking spots when traffic is flowing in and out. They really need a real restroom on the soccer field side as opposed to just by the playground.
I love Dogwood. The playground is much nicer than it was when I was a kid. Heck the whole park is much nicer than it was. The Chesterton Park Department has done a stellar job making this park as beautiful and visitor friendly as ever.
