Chesterfield Dog Park, located at 112 Memorial Dr in Chesterfield, Indiana, is a neighborhood gem for dog owners seeking a safe and convenient place for their pets to play and socialize. Originally a baseball field, this park has been transformed into a dedicated off-leash dog area, featuring plenty of space for dogs to run, chase, and enjoy the outdoors while their owners relax and watch nearby. The park is known for its cleanliness and well-maintained grounds, attracting local dog lovers who appreciate its easy accessibility for all ages and abilities.
Packed with amenities, Chesterfield Dog Park provides water spigots for thirsty pups, shaded spots thanks to mature trees, picnic tables for owners, and waste stations with bags and bins to encourage responsible pet ownership. With wheelchair-accessible entrances and parking, this spot is welcoming for everyone. Please be mindful that some reviews mention concerns about fence height, so extra caution is advised for dogs that may be fence-jumpers. Overall, it’s a great option for anyone searching for a friendly and pet-inclusive outdoor spot in the Chesterfield area.
TERRIBLE dog park! The fence is not high enough. I thought it was cute until today. I took my dog there and some lady had her two dogs there. We asked if her dogs were friendly before removing our dog from the car. She said yes they are and so we took our dog out of the car on the leash, was standing next to our car outside of the park when her dog ran over and jumped the fence and ATTACKED my dog! Had to run her to the vet where she was very lucky but still banged up with 3 different lacerations around and inside her eye. The fence is not tall enough to keep outside dogs safe or people for that matter. DOG OWNERS BEWARE to keep your furbabies safe!
It is a baseball field turned into a dog park. Very well taken care of.
A old baseball park turned into a dog park. Well maintained.
Great place to let your dogs play. It’s an old baseball field with trees, a ramp for dogs, fire hindrance, and water and doggy bags. It is big enough for the dogs to run around but small enough to keep an eye on them easily. My parents take their dogs here often and I find it easily accessible for all ages. People clean up after there dogs and the grounds are nicely maintained.
Very nice and clean, waste bags and bins available with a water spigot available for your thirsty pups
