Chesapeake Beach Water Park is a popular destination in Chesapeake Beach, Maryland, perfect for families looking to cool off and have fun. While primarily known for its water activities and attractions, the park also offers ample free parking, attentive staff, and conveniences like food concessions and locker rentals. Visitors enjoy a clean, well-maintained environment, though rules prohibit outside food and drinks except for baby formula or diabetes-related needs.
Open seasonally with hours from 11 am to 7 pm, Chesapeake Beach Water Park is a go-to spot to beat the summer heat. Though not a traditional dog park, it stands out in the area for its family-friendly amenities and community-focused atmosphere. Its close proximity to local attractions ensures fun for all ages, with wristband re-entry and party hosting options available. For those searching for activities near Chesapeake Beach or considering hosting group outings, this park is a local favorite.
Can be a bit pricey. If you’re not a Calvert County resident, admission is 50 bucks. I did a birthday party there which included admission for up to 24 people and 5 pizzas. The kids had a blast and the hours were 11 -7
The weather was 105°, and the cooling system was struggling to cool so it was water parks to the rescue. Changing room and into the pool. Trust me it was worth the fee. If you’re in MD, you should try it. The only downside is that they close by 7pm.
Ample parking.
Wasn’t too busy but it is also a week day. It’s ridiculous that I couldn’t bring a couple bags of goldfish in for the kids, It’s Wasn’t like I wanted to bring in a cooler full of food. Lifeguards are very attentive. Lazy river was nice.
The park is really small (see the park map). I would not pay 30 bucks to go here. Thank goodness for Groupon. Not much little kids or toddler play things to do. A few positive things is the free parking and you can re enter since you have a wrist band.

Best idea if your a local wanting season passes. Pays for itself, my kids had such a great time. The water is awesome, recommend going when they open, because parking is a nightmare if you go to late. Wanted to provide other information- NO outside drinks or food is allowed; only exception is baby formula and diabetes medicine/drink. Parking is free. They will check all your bags for public safety, and if you rent a locker they KEEP your drivers license until you return their locker keys. Small locker NULL, larger locker NULL, really can’t fit stuff in locker that is small unless you’re attending by yourself. Admission prices are different if you are not North beach residents or Calvert county residents. They are always closed Monday for cleaning.
