Great place to stay!. I travel weekly for work. This is the cleanest hotel/motel I have stayed in a long time. Owners were incredibly friendly and made the check in process easy (even with MY error causing a problem they went out of their way to make sure I got in my room late in the evening). Thanks for the great hospitality.

Stayed here during the Munising Ice Fest with my daughter. It was a bit of a drive on a dark, snowy night, but it was worth the drive. Comfortable and fully stocked with all the basics.

Stayed one night after a basketball game at Superior Central. This is my new favorite place to stay in the UP. A little out of the way, but well worth the few extra miles. Clean, up to date and just walking through the door was refreshing. The hosts were pleasure to visit with. I will look for ways to adjust my travels to make this the place I stay at.

For the money it’s great. Beds are comfy, room is large and has a table and 4 chairs and has a microwave and fridge. Room was clean.

Exactly What a Motel Should Be

The Village Inn in Chatham is a perfect example of how simplicity, cleanliness, and thoughtful hospitality make for a five-star stay. This is everything a roadside motel should be: clean, quiet, and comfortable, with no unnecessary frills—just the essentials done right.

You can park right in front of your room, which is incredibly convenient, and step inside to find a spotless, well-maintained space with everything you need for a restful night. The rooms are neat, the beds are comfortable, and there’s a real sense of care in how everything is kept up.

What really stands out, though, are the friendly and welcoming owners. Their hospitality adds a personal touch that makes you feel right at home.

If you’re passing through the Upper Peninsula or exploring the area, the Village Inn is a gem—unpretentious, affordable, and exactly what you hope for when booking a motel. Highly recommended!
