Since my daughter and SIL bought a place near Decora IA we found this a good meet up place between the Twin Cities for our 25th annual Father’s day fishing with my daughters. Two of us did well fly fishing, I managed the largest Brown Trout I’ve caught in a few years and several under 12″. My non flyfishing daughter managed to find a pool with many rainbows on worms. All were released. While the fishing was good and we had a good lunch on the picnic table.

There are several tables, a skate park, and paved trails along the river. The shoreline is well kept with a fishing pier and very castable without any wild parsnip or stinging nettles. There are no gazebos which would be a nice improvement and the bathrooms are porta potties. If that’s a problem there is a well kept Kwik Trip a block away. I’ll be back to fish again and explore the easement access points upstream.
