Reedy Creek Park Dog Park in Charlotte, North Carolina

Reedy Creek Park Dog Park is a popular off-leash dog park nestled within the larger Reedy Creek Park in Charlotte. Known for its spacious, pet-friendly environment, this park offers a separate large dog area with lush trees, shaded spots, and natural trails, perfect for dog-friendly hiking and letting bigger pups burn off energy. The park is regularly enjoyed by local pet owners for its combination of open fields and wooded sections, making it a great destination for those seeking a dog park with variety in Charlotte, NC.

Amenities include benches, some covered areas nearby, waste disposal stations (though poop bags may not always be stocked), and nearby restrooms for owners. With nearby playgrounds and biking trails, Reedy Creek Park is a perfect spot for the whole family, including four-legged members.

Nice big area for dogs to run around! Don’t see any dog poo bags. They have a spot for some outside of the dog area that was empty. Which is a little bit of a predicament if u have to leash ur dog again and bring them out to get one, pick up poo and then go back out to dispose of it and then bring your dog back in.. seeing as how most dogs poo when they get excited so it’s normally once you arrive. Thankfully I carry poo bags in the car for him. Pros they have a porta potty outside of the enclosure as well. They have a little field and also a wooded area that’s nicely maintained too! We very much enjoyed it.

. They could have made it a little bigger, since the one for large dogs is wider. They could have also put things in it to keep the dogs entertained. First time.

Nice area with trees and shade for big dogs. Sad small lot for little dogs. I had heard bad things about fights from other people but decided to come anyway. We spent all of 15 minutes at the small dog park area. My dogs were hot and there was no shade or anything interesting to investigate. The large dog area has ample space and on a weekday afternoon there was little activity but I see it fill up on weekends.
