Mint Hill Founders Park offers an inviting and spacious dog park conveniently located in Charlotte, North Carolina. This pet-friendly park features fully fenced areas for both small and large dogs, allowing pups to play and socialize off-leash in a secure environment. Beyond the dog areas, visitors will find paved paths, scenic hiking trails through pine woods, and open greenspaces perfect for strolls with your furry companion. Shade from the surrounding trees provides relief on sunny days, and there is seating and benches so owners can relax comfortably.
While the dog park itself does not have water fountains within the fenced areas, there is a water fountain located at the parking lot—be sure to bring your own bowl for your pup. The park is family-friendly, with a modern playground, picnic spots, ample parking, and clean restroom facilities. Bring your own water and bowl to the dog park. There are no water sources inside the dog park. There is a water fountain at the parking lot. Otherwise very nice dog park.

It’s a little bit of a secret playground from how crowded I’ve seen other parks in the area. They upgraded the temporary bathrooms to actual restrooms on site. Seems to be pretty clean from our experience. My kids really enjoy the 3 story slides…

Great new addition to Mint Hill. This location is not near majority of housing in Mint Hill.
The playground and dog park are great but the hiking trails need a lot of work. Stumps are not marked so be careful. Keep in mind, this is a hiking trail, not a walking trail. Lots of little slops.
Also be careful with young children. Lots of glass, garbage, and tires off trail to the right. Left trail was much cleaner.

Nice new park nestled in the pine trees right off the road. Three-story diverse play structure, bank of swings (no baby swings), a separate small kid structure, picnic table area and various benches. Toilets are temp porta potty’s. Dog Park area is nice and big, fully fenced. Trails are wide and well marked.
Edit: I Believe baby swings have been added now!
