Nickerson Park Family Campground offers a welcoming outdoor environment for families and their dogs. While specific amenities are not detailed, it provides a peaceful setting for dog owners to enjoy time with their pets.
The place is very peaceful and the people running it are very nice & polite!! Would definitely stay there again if ever in Connecticut again!
campground was beautiful we had site on the river. clean, staff welcoming. only 4 stars because the sites are on large rocks bigger than typical driveway rocks. this makes walking on your site uncomfortable even with rug. my dogs did not like it either hard to lie down and be comfortable.
Great quiet spot, secluded with space between sites, we’ve been here for about a year, and the family that runs this campground does it all! They even hosted a campground thanksgiving:)) definitely coming back when we visit New England again.
A nice small, clean, quiet campground. Flat sites. Exceptional landscaping provides much more privacy than I’ve seen elsewhere.
We were greeted on the phone by Diane, super friendly, while making a last-minute reservation. We booked a river site with water and 30amp electric, and the site was very spacious. The campground is very clean and well maintained. Ray and Heather greeted us on arrival and explained how to get to our site.
We visited the clubhouse/office for ice cream after supper and had a great visit with Heather. The clubhouse has games and area to socialize. They have entertainment on holiday weekends.
This truly is the way a family campground
should be. There are lots of play areas and a hiking trail that leads to 13k acres of state forest. They are dog and kid friendly. A very cute playground and volleyball area is available. They sell propane, ice and firewood. All the things you need to have a great time. I highly recommend camping here.
