The rail trail is a beautiful place for a quiet walk!
This place is a must visit for MTB or BMX enthusiasts of all skill levels. Found this online when searching for a place to ride while taking a break from a long road trip. Glad I discovered, because this place rocks. I wish we had something like this in central Ohio. My only wish is that the expert level jumps were accessible to me, or that there was signage stating rules about riding that section. They were covered by tarps giving me the impression that I should not ride that part. Hardly a reason to make a negative comment though. The table top section flows nicely and is a blast to boost through. The pump track was fun, and allowed my kids (9 & 14) to work on improving their skills. Well done city of Chambersburg for giving locals a proper place to ride and Kudos to the people who built/maintain them. If ever with in a hour or two from there I will certainly detour to it again.
For a public bike park it is definitely worth checking out. Family friendly, the pump track is fun even for beginners, and the expert line is impressive. Good for 20 inch or 26.
Was just here on 10/9/20 and it was in beautiful shape! The pump track is awesome! For a free place to ride this was totally worth the 1 hour drive there. Most of the big ramps were NOT covered like some posts mention, sure it’s by the weather. But they’re beautiful dirt jumps not for the beginners. But if you’re willing to send it this is the place for you. Coolest set of Dirt jumps I’ve seen since the Harley plant.
Nice bike track in town. Looks fairly well maintained. There is a smaller pump track that anyone can enjoy. Then there is an area with large jumps. My son enjoys the smaller track and I have even taken a few laps. When we went there was not too many people there riding.
