FAQ for Norris Community Park in Central South Carolina:
Decent park but definitely for older kids (I’d say 6ish and up) the equipment is nice but high off the ground. My 2 year old couldn’t really play. Big kids loved it.
Had a wonderful time at the park for a church Easter cookout, ballgame and Easter Egg hunt. Nice indoor facilities for eating too
Great little park with a paved circle walk around the baseball field. They also have a tennis court and a community building that you can rent for events.
It’s ok for kids to play except the wasps nests all over the place. As soon as I got there and sat down (went for a birthday party) I was attacked by wasps. I was stung 5 times. Every table I moved to until we got wasp spray had wasps nests. I know it’s going to happen considering wasps love picnic tables to make nests. Is there anyway someone from the city/county could get put there once, maybe twice, a month to spray and take preventative measures against them? I may have gotten off easy with only 5 stings, but I don’t want the same thing that happened to me happen to a child whose body may not be able to handle such a thing.
It was nice & quiet had no problems or bugs. Does need more play equipment has a small variety as of now but I really enjoyed it.
