Grist Mill Park

Grist Mill Park offers a quiet, scenic, and relaxed environment away from crowded state parks. It features grassy areas with ample shade from trees, several benches for seating, and access to fishing off the nearby bridge. The park is wheelchair accessible with appropriate parking, making it family and pet-friendly. Parking can be challenging on busy days, but the natural setting with views and wildlife, including eagles, makes it a great spot to unwind and enjoy nature.

Parking will be a challenge on a nice day. Nature and the eagles make it worth it! Pack your own snack, drink if ypu plan to stay a while.
Beautiful afternoon fishing off of the bridge.
I’m not sure if I would call this a park, but it’s definitely a relaxing grassy setting with a descent amount of shade from the trees and 4 sets of benches. Well 3 or 4. Lol. But I did end up getting bit by this weird bug I’ve never seen before. It felt like a mosquito bite but it felt almost as if something was being injected at the same time. It was black and yellow striped, no it was not a bee lol, and it was like flat but it flew too. Very tiny. So to visit and for like maybe an hour tops, it’s a nice quiet relaxing setting, but it can get boring quickly and watch out for those bugs lol! Also you’re right across from the bridge in Centerport and you can park there and go fishing on the bridge, or just sit on the benches they also have at the bridge, go for a walk, whatever pleases you! Anyways, I’m not sure why I made this so long but hope this helps!
Good for a short walk around, nice views.
Beautiful secluded area. Not as crowded as the big state parks. Quiet, nice place to chill.
