Beautiful! Close to the road so easy access. I’m disabled and I had no problem. Just used my walking stick for uphill, which isn’t a steep walk. Lots of picnic tables. Outhouse toilet available and very clean. Would highly recommend the trip. We went Sept 29, 2024 after a good rain.
Peaceful experience, hiking is easy. Just wear some really good shoes because there are lots of rocks and pebbles if you’re going down the trails. There’s some man-made trails by people walking into the non designated paths as well, so don’t get confused. The creeks are fun to explore, if you want to go into them, bring river shoes to hike across. I prefer low temperature days, but it was 90° and the trees are pretty good coverage for some amount of cool breeze. Overall good experience.
My family loved the views of the old gristmill waterfall. The shelter is large and clean with multiple picnic tables. The hike is easy, but does have some jagged rocks and bumpy roots on the path to watch out for. The views are beautiful. Lots of wildflowers in bloom. There are plenty of benches and beautiful places to have a sit and read or just enjoy nature. I highly recommend a visit to the Waterfall and Watefalls Trailhead.
Really cool stop, especially if it’s on the way. There are trails as well and multiple points of view of the waterfall. Can even go under the bridge to the base of the waterfall
Excellent time we spend with the family! Waterfall is incredible 😲, I’m so excited 😊
Will come again soon!
