FAQ for Mohawk City Park in Cedar Rapids Iowa:
Great place to put your boat in the river a great boat dock with lots of parking
Great place to put in for a nice easy kayak float- we usually put in on the Cedar, paddle south along the shore & turn left in to the pond. If the river’s running fast, you can go in on the NE side of the pond. It’s small, but generally quiet and peaceful.
If other people would pick up their trash when they leave it would be a lot nicer. The fishing here is pretty good.
It’d be a 5 star if people would take the trash out that they bring with them. Overall peaceful place to fish early in the morning.
Definitey not a bad spot for picniking, fishing, or just walking around hanging out. As far as swimming goes I’m not 100 percent sure you can swim here. So you may want to look for signs before you enter the water here for a fun day in the sun. Kind of a difficult spot to fish. I have most certainly caught bluegil, bass, and channel catfish. But it is my opinion there are many better places to fish in and around Cedar Rapids.
