Pelicans were spending a beautiful day on the Cedar River. Nice area for a picnic, walk along the river.
We walked the perimeter of the lake at just the right time to watch the sunset. Pretty. It is loud with the roads right there, all the geese and lots of people and traffic in this area, but it’s a nice scenic place to chill by water or go for a little urban walk.
Great for family get together and if you love fishing it is a great place to take your kids to do some fishing and every year the first weekend in August they have a fundraising event for the Boys&Girls club fish-a-rama it is a great event for the whole family which you purchase a wrist band and for the 2 day event you fish and try to catch fish as with colored tags to win prizes and full of fun well worth it and for a great cause!!
My fav place to fish in cedar rapids!!!!!!!!!! Love it here!!!!!!!! I also go to the shack side of the river right there by where the boat dock is. Love it there also 🙂❤ I hate the cold also and I hate it when it’s to cool or cold to go fishing so like it has been here lately. I love the nice warm weather!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
