Our dog loves this park – and feels right at home- the trails are manageable for beginner hikers and you really cant get lost, if you follow the color trails. Well groomed trails and great for trail runners, dog walkers and hikers.

The Great Artiste

Nice little wooded park with loop hiking trails. A couple of scenic high point outlooks to see New York City. Very easy.
It was originally an old estate from one of the founders or owners of champion spark plugs. It’s great to walk and hike this park all year round. Try a sunrise and night hike if you dare!

Parked in the Mills Lot which connects all trails. All are clearly marked except the blue trail coming down could use a few more blazes. Great view from the top of NYC. Walked up the red trail then connected over to blue and walked blue back to the lot. There is a great, much clearer view of NYC halfway down the blue trail on the way back. Saw lots of wildlife. Def wear tick spray and good shoes. Trails are mostly rocky. No bathrooms on site.
