My aunt and uncle used to bring me up to Shawno lake where they had a camp spot in Cecil. Such great memories as a child. They would bring me away from my hell which was home to this great place and teach me how to catch crappie and northern pike.

Mostly a boat launch. But a nice one.

Nice little park with a spot for the kids and a little beach as well as a bunch of picnic tables to relax on, there is also a boat launch for shawano lake that is a little shallow for larger boats but will accommodate most boats provided you keep your motor up 😉. The launch fee is NULL and they have a cool little box there if you forgot a life vest for a kid you can barrow one for the day. Also they have a nice restroom area if you need to change or hit the restrooms after a long day of fishing, as well as a large parking lot with boat trailer and normal car parking areas, definitely worth checking out if you’re going fishing in the area or just want to have a spot to bring the kids a bit, oh just be warned though make sure to shower after swimming in shawano as it’s weeds are well known to cause a itch and the beach was pretty green the last time I was there.
