If you’re searching for a scenic dog-friendly trail in Catasauqua, Pennsylvania, the D&L Trail – North Catasauqua Trailhead is a must-visit. This newly cleared trail offers pet owners a beautiful setting along the Lehigh River with easy river views and a more natural, unpaved hiking experience compared to other local paths. The area is praised for its cleanliness, ample parking, and accessibility, making it a welcoming spot for dog owners and outdoor enthusiasts alike.
While not a traditional fenced dog park, the trail is open and provides a great opportunity for on-leash dog walks and pet-friendly hiking. The trailhead typically remains less crowded, ideal for a peaceful stroll with your canine companion. Please note the absence of dedicated dog park amenities such as separate dog areas, fencing, or dog water fountains, but its natural beauty and river proximity make it stand out among pet-friendly trails in the Lehigh Valley.
This is a super fun trail. It’s not flat and paved like other ones in the area, but definitely a nice fun trial that gets you places pretty quickly.

Going north is fine. Going south towards Catasauqua is a nightmare. Trail is open but not improved. Lots of poison hemlock seen so close to the narrow trail you will contact it.

It’s such a beautiful trail. Had I not been alone with my baby, I would’ve probably kept walking. The only thing I wish was that the offensive graffiti to be removed. I felt a bit unsafe too because of that. Other than that, it’s a good good

They did a great job clearing it out and making it very beautiful and seeing the Lehigh clearly without having to climb through a bunch of overgrowth. Definitely a nice walking trail as seeing the Lehigh River as you’re walking is always a plus
