Gave it a 1 because the paved 2mile trail next to it was the only saving grace. Directions are wrong, small and no actual parking at the dog park. You need to park about a half mile into town. Poop all over also. One bench and rocky..

This is a decent dog park. The dog parks are fully enclosed with 2 separate sides, each with their own double gate. The larger area had one bench, did not see any on the smaller side. Neither side had much shade. They do have trees planted so shade will be there eventually. There is no water available on either side, so bring your own. They do provide bags and a trash can-(could use more then 1 though), so make sure to clean up after your dog. There is no parking by the dog park itself, we parked on the main road off to the side and walked down the path. Could be a better park with some improvements, with the addition of water, more bag dispensers, trash can, and seating within the fence.

It was my first time at the City of Castle rock dog park.At first, I wasn’t sure if the Google Maps app gave me accurate directions. When I arrived all I saw were houses and no parking lot? 🤨 butAfter a couple of minutes, I realized that we were on the right track. The large park was divided into two sides one for shy dogs and the other for rambunctious ones. It sat in the middle of a large walking trail along the river.

A very nice space, not too big but plenty of room for the dogs to run and enjoy themselves. There are two fenced off leash areas one for smaller dogs and one for bigger dogs. Well maintained, accessible poop bags and trash can.

Good dog park just along the path. You can sit in the sheltered picnic area. There is a fenced in section to let your dog roam off leash complete with fire hydrant decorations!
