FAQ for Tennessee Motel in Caryville Tennessee:
Love love love this motel!!💕 We’re from San Diego CA. So it’s always a loooooong trip out there (about 3,000 miles) but well worth it! This was our third time staying here since I have to go to Tennessee every year to visit my father. It’s very quiet and very cozy and comfortable to stay at. Mina and her sons are absolutely wonderful and always very accommodating and make us feel welcomed, like we’re at home. They’re very personable and we consider them like family. There’s everything you’ll need that’s nearby; Walmart, Shoney’s, Waffle House, grocery stores, and other restaurants. Our favorite is El Pueblito. They have great Mexican food and great service! Rickard Ridge BBQ that’s right on the lake is also wonderful! The motel even opened up their own café and have lots of options to choose from. The coffee is great, and breakfast/lunch options were delicious! We’ll always stay at this motel, hands down! And eventually move out that way, fingers crossed! My service dog pup loves it also and loves walking the peaceful trails nearby! Thank you Mina! ❤️Love,Lena G ;-)*Idk why the review replaced my previous review from last yr but this is for this yr (7/2025)
Great park with hiking trails, picnic areas, cabins for rent and of course, lots of water! The visitor center was helpful for finding hiking trails and there were plenty of places to go for peace and quiet. We weren’t boating, but others were and it looked like fun.
Love the staff especially minnie she’s a sweetheart she has helped us so much need to come rent a room you will be treated with respect not like the other motels around caryville.
This is a beautiful park. It has cabins to rent. The views to the lake are amazing! There is a village 30 minutes from the park called Ancient Lore Village. Must go!
Locally owned and operated the Tennessee Motel was a delight to stay at. My wife and I stayed for two nights while we looked at a property in Tennessee not far away and the staff were extremely accommodating and very friendly. A little bit of work was needed on the rooms but nothing major. I would definitely recommend friends and family to stay here and I tried to send enough pictures that you could get a feel for the entire room.
Tennessee Motel was clean, 🕷🐛bug 🐜 free & affordable. What distinguished Tennessee Motel for me was the kindness of the owner & maid. I have sepsis & did then too. Been in the 🏣 hospital ever since I had to leave om the day before I had to & was admitted. This longstanding illness has even affected my finances such to the point I still owe her like NULL. I heard some negative things from some people about the hotel. However, my gut tells me that is probably because she was kind to them to & when they didn’t want to pay all they owed or own up to their own behaviour, the first day I got there & inquired about getting a room, the 1st thing she said to me was I look like a good person. That speaks volumes about how her property & kindness probably has been taken advantage of & she is still looking for good people. God bless her, and them. She worked with me, checked on me & prayed for me. As well as the maid giving me kind, sage advice & let me cry & vent with my personal life. I still have to go to UT today for another admission but I do intend to pay her what I owe as soon as Social Security releases my money. In the meantime, I want to say thank you, I so appreciate them AND I can recommend Tennessee Motel for people who will appreciate them, good vibes to you all. Thanks & God bless.
This is a very beautiful little park in Tennessee. We just stopped in for the day, and the scenery is just amazing. Even though the dam is kind of the “selling point”, there was still just so much beauty around it. The forests that you can walk through were stunning. We visited the grist mill, even though the shop was closed, and they also have a thrashing barn and a museum. I think you can swim here somewhere but I never saw the spot. We went to one of the playgrounds and ate lunch at the picnic tables and it was a very cute, beautiful area.
I’m staying here for a couple weeks until I find a home to rent/buy. The owners are super friendly and accommodating. They are constantly doing things to update this place and make it better! They definitely seem to take pride in the hotel. It’s very quiet and comfortable. The room is nice, bed is comfortable. I wish there was more water pressure in the shower, but the shower itself is nice and big and doesn’t have a bathtub. I would absolutely recommend staying here! It’s tucked in a corner near the I-75S on ramp and the rates won’t break the bank!
