This is a great park! We loved walking around the lake and playing on the swings. We saw a great blue heron and several other water birds that were too far away to identify. There are two different play sets for different aged kids. The bathroom was clean and well stocked. There were lots of picnic tables with grills and a few shade structures/ramadas.

What beautiful state park with very nice pavilions for family or work get-togethers. There are snakes present. The one in the picture, for those who are unaware of types of snakes, is a black snake. Please don’t kill they are nonvemonous. There are beautiful walking trails and a very nice campground.

We stopped in on our way to the Smoky Mountains. It was a nice little state park. There is a restaurant there. Seemed super busy so must have some good food. Small visitors center. Path around the lake is good. A few people fishing and catching fish. Spring is in the air with fish mating. Cute little lizard was sitting sunbaking on the observation deck. Plenty of parking. Picnic areas are great with plenty of trash bins and restrooms. Two big hikes in the park which I wish we had time to do. I would recommend checking it out. Well kept park!

Came up here on a whim met the park Rangers at the visitor center. They were unbelievably nice, so incredibly family oriented and nice Not to mention very clean. We went to triple falls. It was an absolutely amazing short hike.Everything was very clean. They leave black trash bags there for people. For the trash in plenty of parking spaces it is a dead end road. Completely.
Worth the drive If you love waterfalls I highly recommend.

This is a beautiful park! Just off the interstate so it’s very accessible and a great place to stretch your legs during a long drive! You have lake and mountains with plenty of great spots for photography as well! Paved walking path with woods and bridge for walking with or without your pets. Also has plenty of soft grassy areas for grounding or picnics. An open area perfect for flying a kite! Tennis and basketball courts available and a restaurant as well. Bathrooms are usually pretty clean. Covered areas for parties and cookouts. It’s a peaceful clean and lovely place all around! Def worth a visit or many visits!
