Visiting the dog park can be a joyful activity for both you and your furry friend—but aggressive encounters can quickly […]

If you’re searching for a dog-friendly stop while traveling through Georgia, Carnesville Paws & Play Park offers a delightful space for your pet to play and explore. Conveniently located less than 2 miles from the highway, this fenced dog park is the perfect place for both locals and travelers needing a pet-friendly break. Created as a Girl Scout project, it captures a friendly, community spirit with open space for running, play structures, and easy wheelchair accessibility.
The park features two secure gates to keep dogs safe, several benches for owners to relax, and open areas for dogs to run leash-free. Amenities include on-site poop bags and a small trash bin to keep the park clean. While there’s ample parking across the street, visitors should be prepared for limited shade and no water fountains within the fenced dog area—essential to know when planning a visit during Georgia’s sunny days. For families, restrooms and gazebos with seating are available in a connected park just down the street.
Needed a dog park to stop by during our drive. This is a cute dog park off the side of a relatively quiet road and close to the highway. Parking is across the street from the dog park.
There are several benches inside but no shade. It was the perfect stop neae the highway for my dog to get some sniff time. Theres also a park with a restroom and gazebos with a lot of seating just further down the street from the dog park too.
Good job to the Girls Scouts! Thank you!

So cute my dog loved it but she is a miniature so she could only play with the rope toy
Great dog park, less than 2 miles off the highway if you’re traveling like I was! Ample parking in the lot across the street (which is thankfully pretty quiet). It’s so cute that this was a Girl Scout project, and we are thankful we found it!
There are 3 benches, 2 play structures, poop bags & a small trash bin, and a ton of open space to run around. There are two secure gates to ensure no pups get out. My only request is to provide shade and/or water! That Georgia sun is HOT!
