Alot of parking places and a nice size park.
Great public beach to take the kids for an afternoon. There is also a fishing pier and boat launch, as well as playground, picnic shelter and baseball fields here.
Lots of bird crap but lake is pretty and plenty of space to walk and fish.
I was thrilled to see that the road to Chub Lake Park has been resurfaced. I hated taking.my boat down that road but now it is a new smooth trip!
I LOVE this place. It’s a lovely lake, altho the beach is weedy, i love swimming off the fishing dock. I ABSOLUTELY get out of the way of the boats and fisherpeople, so if you do this too, be respectful please. Chubb Lake is a beautiful lake, and the park is well taken care of. It’s a great place for children, as there is a play place and they love to play in the beach sand. The kids with me didn’t mind the weeds that seemed to start taking over the swimming area about thigh high on an adult. The water is clear, the swimming area is wonderfully depthed for smaller children. There is an outhouse for toileting and changing. Altho the place is well kept up, visitors seem to have abused the toileting area, sadly, just FYI. I give 5 stars because we had such a great time, it is a beautiful and lovely kept up place, and we don’t think because of the toileting misuse by visitors that any stars should be taken off, as it didn’t ruin our visit here. We’ll come again and again to Chubb Lake!!
