Cute but small. I came here on a Saturday late afternoon and it was incredibly busy in the large dog side – which I think is way too small to begin with. Funny enough there were a ton of small dogs in the large dog area while the small dog side was empty but for a single dog. So not sure what the point of dividing the two areas is. It would be better to open them up and have one bigger park.

This dog park is great! It’s clean and well-kept (all grass). There’s an area for large and small dogs.
Tons of parking.
I definitely recommend taking your pup.

Really lovely dog park and they just installed genuine grass! A little in the small side from what I’m used to which are the parks in San Diego such as Dusty Rhoads and Kearny Mesa Dog park but the people who go there are a joy! Positive and polite. And their dogs reflect their owners. Be sure to bring your own poop bags because they run out sometimes. Saw a ginormous doggo pretending to be a Polar Bear sighting there!

It’s a week maintained park. Currently the area where the small dogs play is under maintenance. Usually they have separate play areas for larger dogs and small dogs. My dog loves this place. He just goes crazy when I turn into the park. I thank you. Carlsbad City allocating this little space for our furry friends to socialize and run around

Both of the sides are open now. Inside the large dog side, there are white wooden fences for the grass to grow still, which is good. They also seemed to have painted the water fountain, so it looks newer.
Overall, the location has improved from last year. What’s important is that my dog seemed to enjoy it, and despite going to the park after it rained, she wasn’t too muddy like she did before.
Enjoy photos of the dogs~
