We have stayed at this property several times in the past few years while visiting my aging parents in Queens.
The experience is always positive. The rooms are clean and typically maintained well (no burned out bulbs, or stained carpets, etc. Only once did we have an issue where one of the burners on the stove wouldn’t work (we made due since we only needed one to cook lol).
The staff is friendly (shout out to Joe at front desk who is always positive and helpful).
However…
When we stayed there in early April (4/4/25, 4/6/25) we found signs in the parking lot saying the lot was now a pay lot. I didn’t see that new stipulation on the app when I made the reservation (I use the Hilton app… not one of the 3rd party “cheap-o” hotel apps). It is possible that it was there and I just didn’t notice it because I just go to previous stays and pick “stay again”…
I asked the front desk and they confirmed that it did include paying guests at the hotel. I find this to be a big negative for me. I’m paying a fairly high rate already to get the name brand hotel with a good rep and a great staff… I don’t think I should have to pay for parking as well (was about NULL/night).
I don’t plan to stay here in the future due to this. There are other hotels in the area with similar rates that have free parking.
I am a bit sad to have to cut ties with this hotel, but without good reason for the increase (added security does not seem to be needed and was not visible) I see it as a probable cash grab.

I stay at Homewood Suites Carle Place a few times, and every visit is just as excellent as the last. The service is consistently top-notch, with courteous and considerate staff who go out of their way to ensure a comfortable stay.

The rooms are always clean and well-appointed, featuring modern decor and no carpet, which is a great touch. The beds are incredibly comfortable, making for a restful night’s sleep.

One upgrade I’d love to see in the future is an update to the stovetops. The current coil burners are outdated, with the usual deformation that makes cooking a bit frustrating. A modern stove/oven or induction cooktop—depending on the room type—would be a fantastic improvement.

The staff here is phenomenal, and I want to give special recognition to some standout team members:

* Joseph is absolutely amazing—brilliant, kind, and always goes above and beyond to make my stay as comfortable as possible. Management should definitely recognize and reward his efforts!
* Kenny is fantastic and ensures my stays are always enjoyable.
* Kaylah is incredibly welcoming, always sending a friendly text message when I arrive, and has a great personality that brightens the experience.
* Kilee did an outstanding job whenever I needed assistance and deserves recognition for her excellent service.

There are a few others I see regularly but don’t know their names—so a big thank you to the entire team for making each visit memorable!

Stopped here for 2 nights. Location is fine, it is near the mall and can be very crazy which isn’t a big deal for some. Entrance into hotel was really nice. Gentleman at check in was quick and polite. The layout of the room was nice and spacious. Turned on the kitchen light over the dinette table, didn’t work. Noticed a 2 really large stains in the ceiling from leaks and some rough patch work. The couch was hard as a rock just softer feel then cement. The door in the bathroom was coming off 2 hinges and you had to lift the door to close it. The shower when turned on, leaked from the pipe down the wall of the shower. Not sure how the cleaning staff doesn’t realize when cleaning especially since there was a yellowing like it’s been there. The breakfast in the morning was really good. Many different choices and kept clean and stocked. Although the initial walk in of the hotel was nice, this hotel has a lot to be desired. I did advise the young woman at check out of these issues. This hotel was chosen because it’s dog friendly yet there is no designated dog walk area. I had to walk my dogs in the neighboring hotels grass. For a Hilton, I was definitely not impressed overall for what they charged.

I recently stayed at Homewood Suites and would describe my experience as a mix of both positive and disappointing elements.

Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted by two wonderful ladies at the front desk whose kindness and professionalism set a welcoming tone for our stay. We were graciously offered a complimentary room upgrade, which was greatly appreciated and made our first few days very pleasant.

The property offers several excellent amenities, including a well-maintained gym, a clean pool area, and a satisfying complimentary breakfast each morning. Additionally, I appreciated the pet-friendly policy, which made it possible for me to bring my dog along—an important factor in our travel plans.

However, there were some issues that detracted from the overall experience. After several nights of paying daily, we were unexpectedly informed that we could not stay beyond 14 days and, furthermore, that we would not be permitted to return for six months. This was surprising and confusing, especially as we observed what appeared to be long-term guests during our stay, including rooms with decorated doors. Previous reviews also mentioned extended stays exceeding three weeks, so the inconsistency in policy enforcement was concerning.

Additionally, our time in Room 401 was not ideal. The room had a strong odor of cigarette smoke and fresh paint, the bathroom door was broken, and one of the stovetop burners was not functioning—issues that made the room feel less comfortable and maintained than expected.

In summary, while the hospitality and amenities were commendable, inconsistencies in booking policies and room maintenance issues left us disappointed. I hope the management considers greater transparency in policies and more attention to room upkeep to improve future guest experiences.

I had booked this hotel for 7 nights as I was in the area for work. I had chosen this hotel because of its high ratings, but I was a little worried about the recent reviews.

I arrived around 2 pm and had already checked in via the app, choosing my room on the top floor. When I got to the room, I noticed that the digital key was not working so I had to go downstairs for a standard key card. The front desk girl was very nice and friendly.

Once I got to my room, I opened the door and noticed how warm the room was. I checked the thermostat, and it was set to 68, but it did not seem to be cooling well. I debated for a bit but went downstairs to ask if I could switch rooms. As soon as I got downstairs, the girl was trying to help a very loud and agitated woman stating there were not enough beds in their rooms. After a while, a manager was on the phone with her and worked out an arrangement.

I asked her if I could switch rooms since my AC was not working well, and she noted that they were overbooked by two rooms and nothing was available, but she would send up a maintenance worker. I said that was fine and went back up to wait. I waited about 30 minutes before I decided to go get dinner. I informed the girl I was leaving and that maintenance could go in. I came back from dinner and noted that it was still the same. I asked the girl again, and she noted that they shared the maintenance person with the hotel next door, and he was busy. I felt really bad for her as she was definitely trying.

I went back to the room and resigned myself to staying there until I could find another hotel, as they were all booked for the day. I then noticed that the room was very worn and dated for a hotel that had “recently” renovated their rooms. The whole front part of the desk was ripped off and the toilet seat was not secure. The other problem is that the hotel was full of kids running up and down the halls.

I finally found a hotel and checked out on the 2nd day, but not before a woman was screaming in the hall outside my door at 6am. As I stepped out to check out, I saw two police officers arresting this woman.

Unfortunately, I will not be staying here again.
