If you’re searching for a dog park in Carle Place, New York, it’s important to note that Blick Art Materials at 168 B Glen Cove Rd is an art supply store, not a pet or dog park facility. This local shop is well loved for its extensive and high-quality selection of art materials, helpful staff, and easy parking access. It’s a must-visit for artists in the area, but not a suitable destination for dog-friendly activities or pet outings.
If you’re hoping to find pet-friendly trails, off-leash areas, or a fenced environment for your dog in Carle Place, we suggest looking for official dog parks or designated pet recreation areas nearby. Blick Art Materials is a top-rated destination for your creative needs—but not a dog park or a dog-friendly park.
They have everything I need. Folks there are helpful and nice. Parking is easy.
only went in there for a short while, ive only gone a few times, besides that I usually go to michaels or one of the few independent shops. but the selection was expansive! the aisles and organisation made good sense, and the staff were very hospitable! want to go back when (or if) i get more money. i liked this place!!!!
ps. let me hold signs on the street! let me help make big promotional///private works stuff!
The staff must have some sort of weird training regarding shoplifters; if you are not a white person be prepared to have an awkward shopping experience, the staff will follow you around and make you feel weird for shopping. Every isle I went there were 2 staff members on each end pretending to work. I’ve noticed that people that look white are allowed to browse and shop freely.
A lot of the prices higher than their competitors, but they do have some supplies you might not find elsewhere.
Good organization and availability of supplies but left after feeling extremely uncomfortable after being stalked by the employees. Sure, maybe shop lifting might be a problem but it was just unsettling to get jump-scared by an employee wondering if I need help after the 6th time of saying I’m looking around.
Blick offers top-quality art supplies—you can really feel the difference in materials. The selection is huge and covers almost everything an artist might need. The downside is that prices can be on the higher side, but the good news is that there are often discounts available. The catch? You usually need to buy in larger quantities to unlock those savings.
It’s a great place to shop if you’re serious about your art, but be prepared to spend some time exploring the options to find what truly suits your needs. Definitely worth visiting, especially if you care about quality.
