2nd time staying here. It is a very relaxing place. The sites are spacious, but still a little close together. The beach that allows dogs is a super nice touch. Bath house is located well and is in nice shape. Not far from cape Charles and some grocery stores. The blue crabs are what keeps me wanting to come back. Also just outside the park is a gas station which has an awesome lobster roll food truck.

Went on a beautiful clear winter day. Beaches were empty. Walked barefoot on the beach and was not cold. Several fishermen were casting lines. Quite a few sea birds to see. Very interesting to see the old ships used as barrier and bird sanctuary. Will try to go back in the summer to see how different it feels. Off season the store and restrooms were closed. Porta potty’s were available and clean.
