Located in Cannon Falls, Minnesota, the Cannon Falls Dog Park offers a convenient and accessible spot for local dog owners to exercise and socialize with their pets. This small, fully fenced dog park is wheelchair accessible, and provides amenities such as picnic tables and restrooms (seasonally available). It is a pet-friendly space where both dogs and owners can relax and enjoy a view of the nearby river, with the added bonus of surrounding areas suitable for leashed strolls.
While some visitors highlight the park’s friendly community atmosphere and the advantage of being the only dog park in Cannon Falls, others note its proximity to a compost site, which can cause odor issues at times. The park is best for those seeking a simple, local fenced area for their dog to run off-leash and make friends, though there is currently no separation by dog size. Nearby pet-friendly trails and scenic riverside paths add to its appeal for those wanting to extend their outdoor experience.
Nice little fenced in park. We were here in the winter so everything is shut off, but it looks like they have bathrooms and water access right in the fenced area.
Small, not well maintained. Technically meets the definition of a dog park but loads better places to go.
It is a horrible dog park. What were they thinking when they put it in the smelliest location in Cannon Falls. Gee Thanks ! They also could have it divided for the smaller dogs and bigger or hyper dogs. It’s a shame. My dog needs a dog park to run freely in but I’m not going to sit for 30 minutes smelling the horrible stench.
Prefect place for everyone to socialize and exercise. If the park is busy just take your dog for a stroll safely around outskirts of the nearby compost site. There is a great view of the river if you head east from dog park. From that point there is an old bunker to the southeast, and towards to northeast is a rock covered beach keen for rock hounds hounds
Smells terrible would not recommend for pets. But the only dog park in cannon falls I expected better…
