Quiet and simple area. Had a boating dock. Bunch of parking. Pavilions with shaded picnic area.I will say the drive up that dike was short so you will view the water at an awkward high so it would startle you viewing the water if you’re not ready.
Nice area for lunch. A lot of parking places, cute lake view.
The recreation area is a little known area which has picnic tables and good fishing. You can also launch a boat straight into Lake Okeechobee. It has wonderful views of the lake and do you want to hike the trails around the lake those are also available to you or bike if you prefer. Swimming is not a good idea unless you like Gators!
Needs a few more pavilions and a bit of an upgrade to it. The view is beautiful and is a peaceful quiet place to bring family, kids and pets. Be careful and aware of the gators, yes they are DEFINITELY visible and will come close to shore at times. Must visit location.
The sunsets here are incredible! There are no bathrooms, just pavilions with picnic tables. Great place if you’re just driving through to stop by and look at the water. The lake is so big it looks like the ocean, because you can’t see the other side. Nice place to walk your dog or ride your bike.
