Heroes Dog Park, conveniently located on base at 7816 Neville Cove in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, provides a spacious and safe, off-leash environment for your canine companions. This dog park features two separate fenced areas designated for small and large dogs, allowing for a fun and comfortable experience tailored to your pup’s size. Though the park is large with plenty of grassy space, some reviews mention wear and tear to the fencing and gates, so it’s important to check your surroundings before letting your dog off-leash.
Amenities include basic seating with benches, multiple trash bins, and (at times) poop bags, although visitors are encouraged to bring their own. Water is not provided at the park, so pet owners should arrive prepared with their own water supply. While there’s some tree cover at the park, overall shade is limited and there is a small wooden gazebo located outside the fenced area for owners to relax. Free parking is available along the side of the gate or on the gravel road, making it easily accessible for those with base access. Keep in mind, the park can get muddy, especially after rain, and there is no restroom or handwashing facility on site.
Nice open field. Only one area for all size dogs. Little muddy after a few days of no rain.
