Located in Camden, TN, the Benton County Sports Complex is a well-kept, family-oriented recreation destination known for its clean grounds, vibrant green grass, paved walking paths, and variety of sports amenities. While it is primarily a sports complex with ballparks, a concession stand, restrooms (when gates are open), and even a public pool, the complex is also noted for its accessibility and ample parking. Visitors appreciate the paved walking trail that loops around the complex, offering pet-friendly exercise opportunities and leisurely strolls.
Although the complex does not currently have a dedicated fenced dog park, dog owners regularly walk their dogs around the site and on the walking trail. Reviewers have observed that while there are posted signs about pet restrictions, dogs are still present (sometimes not leashed). The area offers plenty of grass, shade, and beautiful open space, making it attractive to those seeking enjoyable outdoor time with their pets. If you’re searching for dog-friendly walks or pet-friendly trails in Camden, TN, this location is a popular option. Note that strict off-leash activity and dedicated dog amenities (like waste stations or water fountains) are not officially provided.
Nice ballpark. Clean park, restrooms, and all. Good selection at the concession stand. Thought the hot dogs and hamburgers were not that tasty. No coolers signposted and no dog allowed in the park sign. People took in coolers which I don’t have a problem with. If you are paying 10.00 to go to a game then you should be able to bring in something. If a child has played all day you can’t afford to buy drinks and water that many times. There were 3 dogs that I saw in the park. One If not 2 were not on a lease most of the time. I saw one pee on a tent cover. I would have been a little upset. I like dogs but some people don’t. A rule is a rule for a purpose. Stick to it and don’t let a couple of people change someone’s life.
Softball and Soccer Sports Complex. There is a paved track that is about a half mile all around the complex. There are restrooms for when the complex gates are open during the day and when Softball is playing they have a large Cobain’s concession stand. Handicap parking and just a couple minutes from Camden City Limits.
One downfall is that if there is no softball going on then they don’t unlock the restrooms. So for example when soccer practices are going on you cannot use the restrooms. &, of course another big issue is the soccer games, if you come to watch the games you do have to carry your chairs a good long way to the field. &, with my grandmother being 70 (+) years old it’s just to far of a walk for her to be able to attend the games very often.
We had to carry heavy chairs a long way. The only seating was for players. If there were restrooms, they were far from the field. Coaches and fans were kind to the kids. They did not yell at them like little league. The players were good sports and fun to watch. Some grandparents couldn’t get to watch because parking was so far away.
I was there for a softball tournament. It is a well cared for location. The bathrooms weren’t great, but at least air conditioned. The concessions had a decent variety and were priced at an acceptable price. The parking was ok, although they need to repaint the lines. The fields were in good shape and they have nice bleachers.
