🐾 How to Handle Aggressive Dogs at the Dog Park – Real Advice from Dog Owners
Visiting the dog park can be a joyful activity for both you and your furry friend—but aggressive encounters can quickly […]
Located along the scenic Delaware River, Cooper’s Poynt Park in Camden, New Jersey, offers a beautiful spot for families and pet owners alike. This pet-friendly park features grassy areas for dogs, walking and hiking trails, and spectacular views of Philadelphia, the Ben Franklin Bridge, and various local wildlife. It’s a perfect place for those seeking dog-friendly hikes or simply a relaxing outdoor escape with your furry friend.
The park includes amenities such as a children’s playground, benches, and a paved walking path, making it an accessible spot for both recreation and leisure. While there’s plenty of space for walking dogs (leashes required), be mindful that the playground can get hot during sunny weather and is sometimes noted for being untidy. Wheelchair accessible entrances and parking ensure the park is open to everyone.
Very nicely designed playground. However it is filled with trash. There’s graffiti that’s definitely inappropriate for children. Does beer cans and beer bottles everywhere. No shade so even at 11:00 a.m. the playground is too hot to play on we left instantly. Such a shame because it is a very cute playground.
I used to love this park. I would bring my kids to watch the sunset, play, and have a picnic. Today, we went to do just that & there was tagging everywhere & cars speeding down the bike path. It’s sad to see such a beautiful park this way.
Great views of Philadelphia, the Ben Franklin Bridge and Delaware River. Saw mallard ducks, geese, great blue heron and bald eagle fly down the river.
The view is beautiful but the playground is rundown with some broken features. Also the playground structure is built as a hill which makes it really difficult to watch your children closely. You can only see one side at a time unless you’re standing at the top of the structure. Not the safest playground and not many play structures.
Being a photographer, this park has a beautiful view of Philadelphia and the Ben Franklin Bridge. There is a decent parking lot, grassy space for spreading out, a playground and a walkway around the outside of the park and along the river. If you walk out to the street, go under the bridge and walk to the other side of the bridge heading towards the camden waterfront, the path continues all the way down to the Battleship New Jersey. Great scenic spots with benches and shade.
