4th & Washington Park is a vibrant community hub in the heart of Camden, New Jersey, offering plenty of amenities and open space for families and their furry companions. This dog-friendly park features accessible entrances and parking, making it easy for everyone to visit. While not a dedicated dog park, dogs are welcome, and owners can enjoy strolling through the park together or relaxing at picnic tables while their children play on the nearby playground or use the basketball court.
The park stands out for its family-focused atmosphere, complete with a water pad for kids (a local favorite), slides, swings, and spacious green areas suitable for leashed walks with your pet. Camden locals appreciate the park’s accessibility and inclusive features, which make it an excellent place for pet owners looking for a casual outdoor outing. However, visitors are encouraged to be vigilant, especially around children, and help maintain the area’s cleanliness and safety for all.
I like playing here, lots of other children come her great place to make new friends but there are lots of rules like no loud music and I love for music this is my 3rd choice of a park I would go to but overall pretty good place to play.
I took my grandsons here there were book pages wet all over water pad, socks, towel, I cleaned it up…so it turned out to be ok I wish people would treat it nicely we don’t have any water pads in our town (Gloucester city). You should be lucky
Awesome park to take the kids!! The water park is very nice. Just make sure you watch your children very closly when playing in the water, as this is a known drug user area and I have actually witnessed used dirty needles on the ground in this park area. The town has definitely cleaned this park up alot but you can never be to careful.
It was fun I had alot of fun at that park with my friends we go there every Sunday to play soccer and we even play with random people sometimes or we just play between our self.
Park has a lot of potential and could definitely use an upgrade to attract a better audience and more tourists visiting the city. Upgraded playground equipment, a filtered water fountain and unisex restrooms are recommended. In June, I was harassed and physically assaulted at this park, in the presence of children, as I was trying to leave. Due to this matter, I also highly recommend an increase of park surveillance and “law enforcement.”
