Pemberton Street Dog Run

Pemberton Street Dog Run is a long, narrow dog run located behind public tennis courts and a school in Cambridge. It features a high fence, making it secure for dogs that like to run and fetch. The surface is mostly fine gravel and compressed earth, with some shade from trees in summer. Amenities include a water fountain, waste bag dispenser, and trash bins. Lighting from nearby tennis and basketball courts makes the park usable after dark. It has a quiet, low-traffic atmosphere, ideal for dogs sensitive to noise or shy around energetic groups. The entrance is a bit hidden and the path can be dark after sunset. There is no indication of separate small or large dog areas or off-leash restrictions.

Clean Dog Park. Not too much traffic through here in the evenings, so it’s a nice quiet place for me to come with my dog (he can be shy with super energetic groups of dogs). Dirt, though – so do not go after it rains.
Very long, maybe 15 feet wide. Good linear dog run — they really can run. Fences are 8 feet high or more, which is great, as my dog can jump a 4 foot fence. The surface is a fine gravel. Lights from the tennis and basketball courts make it usable after dark. Only once entrance, at the end near the Yerxa St. underpass. Entrance is a bit hidden and the path to it is dark after sunset. For dogs that like balls, there are often tennis balls lost from the court next dpor.
Long, thin dog run/park. Compressed earth is really dusty right now, possibly muddy after a rain.
Park is tucked away behind the tennis courts
Perfect park, great for lots of socializing with other dogs!
Great dog park, high fence, shaded by trees in summer. It’s long and skinny, definitely more of a “run” than a “park” but if you like fetch or using a Chuck-It device this is the spot for it! Hardly see other dogs here, all well mannered when we do see them.
Train does pass closely, dogs sensitive to noise might not like that very much. Shares a fence with the tennis court and is behind the public school.
Has a waste bag dispenser, trash barrel, and water fountain at the entrance.
