Observed an interesting phenomena today in the park. Saw all these corn cob looking things around the pine trees of the park. Turns out in winter the squirrels eat pine cones just like corn on the cob to get to the piñón seeds inside, which are rich in the nutrients they need. I love how by walking daily through the park I see the ebb and flow of life. During the day, I really only see squirrels, birds, and bees, but living above one part of the part of this park at night is a whole other world. The owls(my favorites) come out hooting and hunting, the possums, raccoons and rats come foraging, and the coyotes come prowling and howling.

A large but accessible park, playground for toddlers + and adjacent to the off leash dog area. Appears well kept minus the major wear and tear of some of the floor areas in the playground.

Stopped by Mission Oaks Park and enjoyed walking through the park and also taking the adjacent trails. It was a beautiful day, and so many people were out enjoying the fresh air and outdoors. We had a great time and, after a few hours, decided to head to lunch. Recommended

It was fantastic. We hosted a reunion with over 200 people. The elevated stage was extremely useful. We were able to bring over extra portable toilets, had alcohol and plenty of space for everyone to have canopies. We enjoy renting the space for events like this and the entire family had a blast!

This park looks clean and well maintained. Love coming to this park because they have many tennis courts. They also have lights for night time tennis games. I’ve walked at this park before and enjoyed the walk.
