This park has a lot to offer including past history Before it became a park. You’ll have to delve into the time Era of the 1700s to early 1900s and thereafter but all and all, it’s a great place for events, games, picnics, parking, a children’s area, bathrooms, a doggy park, a asphalt bike path that is totally awesome. It’s also a mile around the entire park and many people walk around it young and old.
There is shade around one side of the walkway and a beautiful creek behind it, in the summer I’ve seen little children playing in it with parents watching. Make sure they wear their sneakers when going in the creek, as there is pieces of glass in it or sharp rocks. The glass may have washed down the creek from further up.
There’s cement picnic tables and garbage cans in front of the creek and close to bike path. I’d like to see the county or town at least add some additional benches around the bike path, as us older folk sometimes our minds tell us we can walk the track and our bodies tell us something else. So I’d like to see more benches around the entire park . Last I was there I had to sit on a rock on someone else’s property. So that’s not good. I’ve seen heavier people walk around that track and huffing and ruffling, they need a bench.
Other than that it’s just beautiful and a great place to bring your family. ♥ I spotted an eagle one day in one of the trees. This is a good place for bird watching too.
Nice park to take the pups for a new play place and a relaxing walk.
Very well-kept park. Kid and dog friendly. Plenty of parking.
Love this park. The playground is clean (no bottles or random garbage on the ground) and there’s a little of something for everyone (slides, swings, basketball court, etc).
After having another hike thwarted, I found myself in Cairo and decided to check out the walking path at Angelo Canna Park. I had been to events here before, but had not walked the perimeter. This is a nice, flat, paved path. I would estimate it’s about a mile long. It goes around the park, down by a lovely creek. Plenty of benches and picnic tables dot the creek side portion. Good shade trees as well. If you’re looking for a nice, short, easy walk, this is for you.
