As a local my Park to go and hang quiet lots of grass lots of room to run you or a dog couple shade trees like watching the mine activity and some of the cleanest Park restrooms you’ll ever see kudos to the Parks and Recreation crew👍

I went to McGruff park in Butte for the MT Folk festival this year. The park is usually the place where I would pitch a tent and camp along with a lot of other people. Camping there during the festival is free, it is only available for camping (no open fires) also people with campers and trailers park in the area to stay. Porta potty’s are provided for the campers. This year I didn’t camp but just parked my vehicle in the area while walking up to the festival.

I don’t believe it deserves more than three stars for the size of the park and what is located across the street from it. Nice, although there’s a lot of emptiness. A tiny play area with a basket ball court is there. There is a little skate park next to Big Field. Given that it is across from the well-known Berkeley Pit. They ought to work a bit more on this, in my opinion. It formerly had a tall, large slide that was designed to imitate a mine shaft, but it was swiftly taken down because too many youngsters were harmed on it.
