I’ve had 2 issues of my son getting bullied here, so not a fan of that. The first time a kid kicked my son in the chest and the second time 2 kids, 8 and 10 was not giving my son his cap to his water playing keep away.

It’s the best park in town. Great for walking the path with your dogs, and a playground for kids. My only issue is that sometimes the water fountains are turned off, and the bathrooms are closed. For those of us walking across town to the park it’s a little inconvenient when the bathrooms are closed & the urge strikes 😂😂 the bathrooms are usually pretty gross when they are open, and THERE IS NO DOORS ON THE TWO STALLS IN THE LADIES ROOM!!! If you’re squatting to pee, anyone who walks in the bathroom can see you and your goods. Weird AF. At least we can get some curtains in there, if not doors? 🧐 Other than that, love this park 💚💚💚

Southside Park is a great place for people of all ages. It features a wide variety of playground equipment, both for younger kids and older teens as well as a decent sized gazebo with power outlets for devices and electronics, and tables for eating. In the near vicinity are charcoal grills which can be used by anyone. In addition to all this the park has bathroom facilities available and a good length walking / biking sidewalk trail for those looking to be a bit more active during their visit. The entire park is well groomed and kept and is the newest park to be built in Butler.Every year the park hosts multiple public events that are entirely free to attend by the public.
