Overlook Park in Burton, Ohio, is a family-friendly and pet-friendly destination known for its wheelchair accessibility and well-maintained, beautiful grounds. Located conveniently on Tavern Road, the park offers a welcoming spot for dog owners and families alike. The amenities include picnic tables, covered pavilions, public restrooms (porta-potties), playgrounds for kids, and plenty of sports facilities, making it more than just a spot for your dog—it’s a hub for the whole community.
This park stands out by providing accessible parking, a blend of sunny and shaded areas, and a reputation for year-round beauty and maintenance. While specifically designed dog areas or off-leash sections aren’t detailed, dogs are allowed, and the park’s many open spaces provide opportunities for leashed walks and playtime. Overlook Park is a great choice for those in Geauga County looking for a dog-friendly park with picnic and recreation amenities.
They added a new play area last year and it’s part sun and shade so your kids don’t cook.they have grills and Pavillion as well.whoever mows it and does the landscaping there keeps it so beautiful
A great family place; a popular place for the Amish teenage boys to play Sunday afternoon football every other week (when not at their bi-weekly Sunday assembly). These kids are truly praiseworthy!!!
My parents are RIP at Overlook. Lifetime residents before passing away. Nicely kept!
This is a really nice park for a rural area. It doesn’t have a walking trail nor “real” toilets (it has Porta-potties!) but it does have picnic pavilions, tennis and basketball courts, and baseball fields. There are shade trees on the north and south sides but none on the other two. Conveniently situated and easy to get to, we had the place to ourselves in the early morning. If you live near this park, you should avail yourself of it.
Had a reunion on Sat. Pavilion was newly painted, and plenty of picnic tables. Was pleasantly surprised with sports equipment, Cornhole games and more that was available in kitchen area. Rainey day, but pavilion kept us dry!
