We came in for an event local to the area. The campground is located right along the highway so its somewhat loud with the trucks roaring by at night, but other than that, we have no complaints.
Its a smaller campground so the kids were all able to run around. They have a little creek that runs thru which is cool for swimming and fishing. (But if it rains i wouldn’t recommend swimming because it gets high and rough). There’s a Pavillion and a little community fire pit.
The store was cute too with some basic essentials. My kids were happy to see ice cream lol. We didn’t eat the food because we brought our own but the prices didn’t seem too bad.
All in all it was a good visit for what we had to do that weekend.

The mills themselves were pretty but the campground should have been skipped by our family. The owner acted as if you were an inconvenience when stopping in to talk to or ask questions – yes or no answers. Very rude. The women’s bathroom was never clean. Toilet paper never filled, the showers were gross, and it smelled worse than the bath houses near the ocean. The subs were great but having them made if you were staying on the site was basically a chore by the same owner. Best bet- look at the Mills as you’re driving past, and stay at any of the neglected and empty shells of houses in the area. It would be more accommodating.

One of my favorite places to stay in PA, The on site store is a nice down home touch with delicious fresh made subs and is very handy for what you may need, as well as a staple in this little community.
There’s an onsite laundry facility that’s very convenient. Clean bathrooms and hot showers. The owner is very friendly and made our stay more than enjoyable.
If we didn’t have to be somewhere else I would gladly extend my stay here.

Grist mills was absolutely beautiful, love the mountain and trees view! Also loved sitting by the little creek that was there, good for relaxing and meditation if your into that. Very friendly people and the food was awesome too. I hope to maybe stay there again in the future.

Nice stay in the cabin with the kitchen & bathroom. I think it will be a bit noisy for tent campers. The traffic on Rt. 76 and the road in are loud. Rt. 76 rumble strips, the road in is sloped so trucks are gassing it or downshifting either way – noisy, bring earplugs. Camp store person was nice, accommodating and had a recommendation on where to eat. We wish the Grist Mill was open but it’s in disrepair requiring lots of money to make safe for tours.
