I wish we had a lake like this one in North Carolina. The sand was super soft, the water was refreshing, and the facilities were amazing. I would definitely come back here if given the opportunity again.

Great family reunion vacation. Lovely beach . You can bring your own camper to be parked near the water or rent one. Only downside, restrooms not nearby. Jiffy John’s not good. Otherwise, perfect.

Our camping spot was great and the view was absolutely magnificent. My only real complaint is that for such a great spot, the beach access was not great. We traveled in an RV and didn’t bring a car, so we had to rely on some pretty steep, unstable man made but not maintained foot paths full of sticker plants. This was made even more difficult with our wagon stroller and toddler. I don’t need a fancy boardwalk, but a maintained trail would be an incredible addition. Also heads up if you are new here and don’t have your own shower facilities it is a token based system at the bathouse. Otherwise we loved how the spots were spaced out and not on top of each other and plan to be back albeit a little more prepared

Always a great time! Camping in the beach areas is so fun! The sand can be loose at times… If it is, call for a tractor to help move your camper. If you have kids, let them chase the frogs at dusk and enjoy the smiles!!

This is a really nice campground with trails leading right to the lake. We counted 104 toads at dusk which the kids loved and the lake was warm. Showers are coin operated which is a bummer and there is no prices posted. Water hook up and electric and spots are nice.
