🐾 How to Handle Aggressive Dogs at the Dog Park – Real Advice from Dog Owners
Visiting the dog park can be a joyful activity for both you and your furry friend—but aggressive encounters can quickly […]
Located in Brownstown Township, Michigan, Brownstown Dog Park is a designated off-leash area where dogs can run and play freely in a secured environment. This dog park features separate spaces for small dogs, providing peace of mind for owners of petite pups. The park is wheelchair accessible, from the entrance to the parking lot, ensuring all community members can enjoy its amenities. While there is a membership or entry fee, local residents appreciate the convenience and dedicated dog-friendly space.
The park is known for its community of regular visitors, but some users have noted that maintenance could be improved, particularly regarding cleanup and rock placement. Recent policy changes restrict use to Brownstown Township residents only. This park stands out as a secure spot to let your dog exercise off-leash, socialize, and enjoy some fresh air close to home.
The fact you have to pay to use the dog park and enjoy with your dog. I think it’s outrageous, especially since how it’s so small that they can’t even really enjoy it. Save your money and just take your dogs for a walk.
My pup and I went here 4-7 times a week for almost five years. Wonderful space for running and a separate area for small dogs. They no longer allow people and dogs from out of Brownstown Township, so we can no longer utilize it. It doesn’t get maintained as frequently as it should be, watch out for droppings that many dog owners “forget”.
Not for your dog. Pay to play…
Had to leave the park people said their dog isn’t small dog friendly. Very rude
I like the layout of the Brownstown dog park except for the big rocks that my “clumsy while playing with other dogs” Labrador Retriever ran into at full speed. She was OK but I have heard of other dogs being severly injured from running into the sharp, large rocks throughout the Dog Park. Removing them would be a great idea?
I would recommend insisting that users pick up their dogs mess better as well as fill in all of the very deep holes their dogs “Dig Up”. Everybody needs to help keep the park clean or else we all lose!
