I used to play baseball/softball, football, and basketball there back in the late 1960s and early 1970s. The park was all asphalt except for the dog run at the 40th Street and Foster Avenue end of the park. It was lacking for maintenance. Now it looks 100× cleaner and more well maintained than before. Good job nyc parks dept.

I had fun at the Sweat Fete event. Unfortunately it seems half the park is under construction, but it didn’t detract too much from a still pleasant park space and play area for children.

A very nice park sadly the people that come near the kids play area by the bathroom is usually smoking and drinking. A lot of people don’t care and smoke a bunch of weed and cigarettes around people kids. Sometimes I see people come and smoke at the playground with the kids there. The law doesn’t freaking matter. Most times I have to run out of there with my child if we’re lucky she might get at least 15 to 20 minutes play. There are children swings but no teenager Swings: 😔

Completely rebuilt and renovated from what we remember in the 80’s & 90’s. Large playground for the kids with working equipment. Full court basketball. Baseball field, plenty of benches and green space. Currently under partial renovation, but still plenty of room and space to use.
