Nice view from the park, quiet overlooking the sea with some sandy dune-like secluded areas and an old platform with some fishermen. Not good for swimming, water is grimy.

The park is part of the Jamaica Bay Greenway extension may be accessible by Emmons Avenue in Sheepshead and close to the Plumb Beach. It is great for a short distance hiker.Along this Emmons Avenue, you can walk from Sheepshead to Kings Plaza. Along this way, you may see bicyclists, fishers and hikers sometime on the road.

Not bad place. Has playground, picnic area with beautiful view, parking, access to the ocean side (but can be cleaner)

(April 14, 2022) Just a few minutes ago, a 6-year old child was lost in the Lew Fidler park and his father was running crazy around the park. Thankfully, the child was found by the beach. The authorities should put a fence around the park to keep our kids safe.

An absolutely lovely park! It’s new and we’ll maintained. It’s in a beautiful space, with a nice view of the water, and picnic seating, space for the kids to use scooters and plenty of play equipment. I also love the sprinklers in the summer! My critiques are that the play equipment is “modern”, but limited, i.e. there is no slide, and VERY few swings! (Weird) Also, since it’s a new playground, the trees are very immature…so unfortunately, very little shade in the summer, and very little protection from the wind.
