Pier 6 Dog Run

Pier 6 Dog Run is a well-maintained and spacious dog park featuring an Astroturf surface that is gentle on dogs’ paws and great for all weather conditions. It offers a safe and enjoyable space for dogs of all sizes to play and socialize. The circular layout promotes ample running and play space with shade provided by surrounding trees. It is a popular community spot adjacent to the Wag Club, where owners can get treats and fresh water for their dogs. While the park can get crowded and occasionally messy, it remains a favorite destination for local dog owners looking for a clean, friendly, and lively environment.

Definitely a definition of a dog run as it’s not a huge area, but very well maintained. Astroturf surface so easier on the paws and actually quite well shaded by the surrounding ring of trees. Often at least another pup friend there from the neighboring buildings but good idea to bring a ball just in case.
Fantastic dog run. Highly recommended.
This place is now turf and there are no pebbles. The area is small but great so the dogs don’t get super dirty. Dogs here are friendly and are all sizes. @misothebernedoodle_ loves it here
Oh my gosh this is my favorite dog park! In NY you have the run of the mill dirt/grass parks then gravel/concrete. Surprisingly, the turf is great for all weather. Took my pup here on a rainy day and he had the most fun granted we had the whole place to ourselves. The circular shape is surprisingly spacious and well thought out for dogs to play in. Lovely spot.

I bring my dog to the Pier 6 dog run often, and she absolutely loves playing fetch here! It’s a great spot for dogs to run around and burn off energy. The convenience of having the Wag Club right next door is a huge bonus—my pup loves grabbing a treat and drinking some clean water after a good play session.
That said, the dog run can get a little chaotic when it’s crowded, especially with some owners not paying attention to where they’re throwing balls. I’ve seen a few dogs accidentally collide because of this. It can also get a bit gross when people don’t clean up after their dogs, leaving marks on the AstroTurf.
Pro tip: the best time to visit is after it rains—it tends to be less crowded and cleaner. Overall, it’s a great community spot where my dog has a blast, as long as everyone is mindful of their pups!
