Macri Triangle, located at 462 Union Ave in Brooklyn, NY, serves as a small urban green space in the bustling neighborhood of Williamsburg. While it’s technically a park, its primary use has shifted over the years, with local residents expressing a desire for it to become a true dog-friendly area. Despite being fully fenced, Macri Triangle is often described as underutilized, with limited greenery and ongoing maintenance concerns, including litter and overgrown weeds.
Dog owners in Brooklyn seeking a spot to walk their pets will find Macri Triangle offers a basic fenced-in environment—though amenities such as separate areas for small and large dogs, water stations, or dedicated shelters appear to be lacking. The park’s urban surroundings mean it’s easy to stop by for a quick visit, but those looking for more robust dog park features may want to explore other pet-friendly spaces in the area.

Not much green to enjoy at this run down park that’s all fenced up. Kinda ugly.
It’s function is really just a place to stand and eat your Birria tacos, and then throw the remains of your taco feast on the pile of trash mounded on top of the overfilled trashcans.
The extra star is only because Birria-Landia is there.

Considering how much foot traffic this intersection gets, its sad this park continues to sit neglected and under-utilized. Tried taking my dog here a few times, it encourages other dog-walkers to come in too, but in the end we all awkwardly leave cause theres litter, rat poison, overgrown weeds all over. Please turn this into a dog-friendly, fenced-in park that everyone can enjoy.
